Dendrified
Dendrified creatures react uniquely against the elements.
Summary
Genshin Impact inspired Dendro elemental reactions.
Whenever a creature takes primal damage, the energy lingers around their body for 1 minute, causing the state of Dendrification. This energy is volatile and changes when in contact to certain elements. Dendrified creatures have disadvantage on saving throws against effects that deal fire or lightning damage. If a dendrified creature takes or has taken lightning or fire damage this round, it triggers Aggravate or Dendro Burn respectively, ending the Dendrification condition immediately.
Aggravate
The primal energy agitates and discharges violently. The aggravated creature takes 1d8 additional lightning damage. If a spell caused the Dendrification, the damage instead is equal to 1d8 per the spell level + the spellcaster's spellcasting ability modifier.
Dendro Burn
The primal energy becomes fuel to the fire and sets a burst of flames on the target's body. A Burning creature immediately takes 1d8 damage. If a spell caused the Dendrification, the target instead takes 1d10 fire damage at the start of each of their turns for a number of rounds equal to the level of the spell that triggered the Dendrification (minimum of 1 round).
Bloom
If a creature that's wet becomes Dendrified, or a Dendrified creature becomes wet, the primal energy saps the moisture off the body and sprouts into a Dendro Core on an unnocupied space within 5 feet from the target.
Dendro Core
A Dendro Core is a small seed made of pure primal energy. When it appears, it takes place in the initiative with a d20 roll. The Dendro Core is immune to all types of damage, except fire and lightning damage. When it's turn comes, or it takes damage, the core burst and deals 1d6 primal damage to all creatures within 10 feet of it. If a spell caused the Dendrification, the damage instead is equal to 1d6 per level + the spellcaster's spellcasting ability modifier. The damage caused by this explosion does not trigger the Dendrification condition.
